Talking about trauma and soul wounds isn’t the most popular thing, especially within faith communities. For some reason, counseling and seeking therapy are still seen as taboo in many churches. So what are people supposed to do with their pain? How do they begin to be honest about what they’re carrying when they haven’t found a safe place to lay it down? What happens when prayer doesn’t seem to work, when your soul needs peace, not just performance? A place to finally exhale, to rest in Christ, and not just survive but start healing?

That’s why TAMAR exists.
We’re not here to replace your local church, counseling, or therapy. But if you need encouragement, clarity, or simply to know you’re not alone, we’re here. If you’re searching for meaning, for hope, or for a reminder that your story still matters, we’re here. Your journey is your own, but maybe something shared here will help you realign with purpose, reclaim your voice, and fight the good fight of faith through healed sight.
Why TAMAR?
TAMAR isn’t just a brand. It’s a burden, a prophetic response to the soul wounds that many women carry but rarely name. It's for those who’ve lost not only themselves but their voice through abuse, betrayal, spiritual manipulation, identity confusion, or unspeakable pain. That deep silencing of the soul is real. I know it well. That’s why I created this space.
Inspired by the often-avoided story in 2 Samuel 13, TAMAR is named after the daughter of King David. She was a woman whose name is rarely spoken from pulpits. Tamar was raped, her innocence stolen, her story tucked away in shame and silence. She suffered, not only from the violence done to her, but from the weight of being unheard.
There are still so many Tamars today. Women walking around with trauma, pain, and spiritual questions, many of them in the pews. This isn’t just a biblical issue. It’s a global issue. But within the Body of Christ, it’s too often ignored. My heart is to make space for that pain, and more importantly, for healing.
The Spark Behind the Vision
Over a decade ago, during my work as an addiction counselor, I noticed something. In co-ed recovery groups, the men seemed to open up and progress, but the women stayed guarded. I took it to God in prayer and brought the concern to my supervisor. We agreed to host a women-only roundtable.
Within just a couple of sessions, the room shifted. These women began to speak. They really spoke about abuse, sexual trauma, and soul wounds they had buried for years. And something in me broke too. I couldn’t share my own experiences in that setting, but I sat there thinking, me too. I had simply found healing sooner, through prayer, community, and people God placed in my life. And it hit me: those who overcome must go back and help others overcome.
A Prophetic Mandate
TAMAR was born not just from experience but from a prophetic call to speak where others have been silenced. I’m not here to tickle ears or present a polished version of healing. I believe in truth. I believe in deliverance. And I believe in the power of God to rebuild lives, even from the ashes of trauma. This platform will not shy away from discussing deliverance, spiritual warfare, or deep emotional wounds. Because if I can’t be authentic, I’ve misrepresented God and the call on my life.
The Mission
TAMAR stands for: There’s A Message After Rebuilding, because in Christ, nothing is wasted. Every trial, every wound, every ugly and unspoken thing can be used for His glory.
This isn’t a clinical platform. Though I bring professional insight, TAMAR is not a substitute for therapy. It is a spirit-led space, anchored in biblical truth, where women can begin the work of soul healing.
Our mission is to help you:
Name what hurt you
Break agreement with shame
Walk through the Word toward wholeness
Reclaim your voice and divine purpose
Remember that your message is still valid, even after the rebuild
What to Expect
The seed of this work began with my book Tamar’s Scars (2023), which shared stories of sexual trauma, faith, and healing. That book barely scratched the surface. I felt the Holy Spirit nudging me to go deeper. That’s where the TAMAR Podcast and this blog come in. This is a sacred space carved out for stories, healing, and prophetic encouragement.
Through the blog, podcast, and books, you can expect:
Scripture-based reflections on healing, identity, and spiritual resilience
Conversations on soul wounds and their spiritual impact
Encouragement for women recovering from religious or relational betrayal
Practical tools to rebuild your faith walk and rediscover who you are in Christ
This isn’t a business brand or coaching service. It is a healing space. It’s for the parts of you no one clapped for, the pain no one validated, and the truth you’ve been afraid to say out loud.
Why Now?
Because the silence is loud.Because too many women are suffering in secret.Because the Church has to do better.
There is a message after the silence. There is a voice after the wound. And there is a God who restores what others rejected.
Welcome to TAMAR. There’s a message in you worth releasing after rebuilding.
